As an information technology professional, I absolutely minimize and do not recommend the use of facebook–for myself and my clients. You really need to stop making facebook membership a requisite for these things as I and others will not go there. Often it will violate the security of my personal contact information as well as those of my friends and contacts. So I will pass on these offers. Watch for some company, in the near future, to be badly burned in a security breech at facebook. It may be you.
