Travel Alert: American Airlines Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

The big travel news today is that American Airlines has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection.

This should not affect travellers to Britain for the foreseeable future as the airline will continue to operate as normal.

It’s a ‘strategic regorganization’ to restructure the airline to make it more competitive.

Bloomberg News has all the details.
