I find this funny only because a (very sheltered) American friend of mine asked me the same question “What is a crumpet?” but then she followed up by asking if I eat them because they are good or out of necessity, as if there aren’t such things as breakfast cereals here. I don’t get it, I knew they sell crumpets are Trader Joe’s. They must sell them at the fancy LA grocery stores Jessica Biel shops at as well!.
