Video: Moving Rare Color Footage from the Funeral of Winston Churchill

Today marks the anniversary of the death of Winston Churchill in 1965. As a tribute, we found this wonderful video on YouTube that shows rare color footage from the funeral of this great statesman.

It’s a very moving video that brought tears to our eyes.

  1. My friend lived across the street from his home in London. It was quite a feeling to look out her window & see the blue plaque.

    Seeing Charles de Gaulle reminded me that without Winston Churchill, CDG would have had to learn German. Winston Churchill stood up to tyranny. God bless the great man.

    Thank you so much for posting this video. I was moved to tears by this wonderful tribute. On a trip to the UK in 1985 I was able to visit Churchill’s grave, a quite evocative experience.
