Google Streetview Now Covers 95% of British Roads! Gold Hill Snubbed

Excellent news for armchair Anglophiles looking to waste away hours exploring the streets of their favorite British destinations. Google Streetview now covers 95% of Britain’s roads. This means that you can virtually walk on any road in Britain.

Of course, I couldn’t wait to fire it up and see if Gold Hill was on it. It wasn’t.

The Google Streetview car only went to the bottom of Gold HIll. Apparently, no one told them they are free to drive up the hill and turn around. Oh well.

It’s still awesome to be able to explore everywhere in Britain in 360 degrees.

To check it out for yourself just go to Google Maps UK and go exploring. It’s a lot of fun.

Feel free to leave a comment telling us how many hours you spent doing it!

  1. Too many hours! Nice that it shows Salisbury in the springtime though.
