Doctor Who Series 5 Airdates Confirmed by the BBC – Matt Smith Doctor Who Airing in 5 Weeks

Great news for hungry Doctor Who Fans – the BBC in Britian confirmed the premiere of series five of Doctor Who – the first episodes to feature the new Doctor played by Matt Smith.

Doctor Who Series 5 (or series 1 depending on which geek you ask) will begin airing Saturday, April 3rd, 2010.

No word yet from BBC America on when they’ll be airing in the USA – but all their marketing materials indicate this spring, not long after they air in the UK. Which is awesome for American Doctor Who fans.

Only 5 weekends to go!
