British TV Podcast Show #15 – Is it legal? Acquiring shows from Britain

The British TV Podcast with Chrissy and Ryan Show #15 has Ryan railing about how the Tories want to dismantle the BBC (or at least cut salaries, it’s the same thing) in the wake of Jonathan Ross’s resignation.  There is also news, what’s on TV this week, DVD releases, and a feature about all the legal–and illegal–ways of acquiring TV from Britain including an interview with an intellectual property rights lawyer who explains where the law stands.

About BritTVPodcast

Ryan is an American living in Seattle. He became a fan of British television during the Monty Python invasion of the early 1970s. In 1993 he moved to London for a year just so he could see British television first-hand. Since moving back to the States eighteen years ago he has continued to keep up on British TV by trading tapes back and forth. In the late 1990s he worked three years for About.com as their British TV Guide and has been interviewed twice by BBC Radio. He started the British TV Podcast With Chrissy and Ryan in 2009.
