Yesterday was a big news day for Doctor Who fans – we finally got an air date of the November special “Waters of Mars” as well as a corresponding US Airdate. We also got some more preview clips and there was an interview with David Tennant. So, here’s a breakdown of all the Doctor Who News this week.
Waters of Mars Gets UK Airdate
The next Doctor Who Special, The Waters of Mars, will air November 15th on BBC One. We’re a little bummed as we’d hoped it would air while we’re in the UK in two week week. But alas, it was not to be.
Airdates for the Last Tennant Specials
The first of the last two David Tennant Doctor Who specials – called The End of Time will air on Christmas and Part 2 – the last episode to feature David Tennant – will air around New Years Day.
Waters of Mars get US Airdate
Uncharacteristically, BBC America went ahead and announced the US airdates of Waters of Mars the same day. They really are getting better at keeping fans out of the dark these days. US Doctor Who fans can see Waters of Mars on Saturday, December 19 at 8 PM Est. One thing to note is that it will also air in HD on the new BBC America HD channel.
