Simon Cowell’s television domination continues with his new offering of Simon Cowell’s Food Glorious Food. Part X Factor and part Great British Bake Off, the food competition searches across the land for Britain’s best-loved recipe with an emphasis on family recipes and home cooking. Amateur cooks will compete to impress the judges with the winner receiving £20,000 and will have their creation sold in Marks & Spencer stores.
Rumored to have created the cooking competition after Master ChefAustralia beat his show Australia’s Got Talent in a ratings war Cowell said, “I love home cooking, which is one of the reasons I wanted to make the show. No one can make roast potatoes like my mum and I’m sure a lot of people feel the same way about their family recipes. This is not a show for snobs. This is giving someone a chance to have their recipe sold in a Marks & Spencer store.”
Starring Carol Vorderman, Anne Harrison, Loyd Grossman, Tom Parker Bowles and Stacie Stewart Simon Cowell’s Food Glorious Food debuts on ITV February 27th.
