One of the funniest British Comedies to come out of the UK in the past few years was ‘Little Britain.’ To those that don’t know, it’s a sketch show featuring recurring characters played by the same two men, David Walliams and Matt Lucas. The two have become a dynamic duo of sorts in British Comedy.
It’s been a while since Bubbles Devere, Daffyd and Lou and Andy graced out screens. Now, it’s clear why. They’ve been at work making a new series for HBO called ‘Little Britain USA.’
I caught a preview on HBO On Demand last week and it looked hilarious. Many of the same characters are back, except they been transplanted to the USA for various reasons. There are also a host of new characters that will surely enter the pantheon of ‘Little Britain‘ hilarity. In addition to the staples and new characters there are also cameos from famous celebrities such as Rose O’Donnell and Sting.
The new series of ‘Little Britain USA‘ premieres on HBO on September 28th at 10:30 eastern/9:30 central. There will be six half hour long episodes. It will premiere in the US first and eventually air on BBC One. So, Anglophiles in America are lucky to get to see it first.
