Revealed: The Next Doctor Who

Big news for fans of British Sci-fi, David’s Tennant’s replacement as the venerable Doctor Who has been announced.
And it’s not who anyone expected.
I was expecting a woman. I was hoping for Patterson Joseph or James Nesbitt. I don’t know anything about this bloke named Matt Smith.
Frankly, he looks a little too EMO to be playing the dynamic Doctor. I’ll withhold judgement until I see him in action. I do hope he’s good and I’ll give him a chance.
At least we have 4 more one off specials with David Tennant yet to go this year.
Even if he’s crap, at least Stephen Moffat will be in charge. He’s written some of the best Doctor Who episodes (Blink, The Library) and has worked his whole life to run the show.
And they can always kill him off, the Doctor still has a few more regenerations if things don’t work out.
Looks a little too smug and sinister if you ask me.

Wouldn’t this new doctor be the 12th doctor? That’d put him short on regenerations.
He’s at 10 now, new guy is #11 so he has two more after that (Time Lords get 13).
Great, more pandering to teenage girls. Did someone at casting see Twilight and decide that was the way to go?
