The BBC is reporting that the premiere of Tim Burton’s upcoming 3D adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, starring Johnny Depp, will have Royal Patronage.
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will indeed attend the movie’s premiere in Leicester Square in London on February 25th. It will be a charity event to raise money for The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts.
The interesting bit is that this version of Alice in Wonderland was shot and will be shown in 3D. We are rather amused by the idea of Prince Charles wearing those weirdly shaped 3D glasses!
Here’s the trailer if you’re interested:

Anglotopia was founded by Jonathan and Jackie Thomas for people who love Britain - whether it's British TV, Culture, History or Travel - we cover it all. Anglotopia was started to get us back to the UK for a trip and it did that in 2009. Now, the goal is for Anglotopia to make our dreams of traveling to the UK whenever we want a reality.
I cant wait for this films release on the 5th March 2010. The premiere was announced a while ago on Mark Boardman’s website for the 25th Feb 2010 at the Odeon.
Lots are stars are due to attend though Disney are still in talks for it’s release in march as they only want ‘The Odeon’ to show it for 8 weeks, Where as the Odeon want a 13 week license.
The site I found with all the details is http://www.ukfilmpremieres.co.uk
There are links to the Leicester square cinemas, and red carpet pics etc. If I hear any news regarding London film premieres I will post it here,
