The Travel Bookshop in Blenheim Crescent, London that inspired the Hit movie “Notting Hill” is in the news again. This time, the flat located above the iconic bookshop is up for sale.
The real Travel Bookshop wasn’t featured in the movie, it was built on a set. But the film’s writer, Richard Curtis, lives down the street and used it as an inspiration for the classic story of bookshop owner-meets celebrity love story. The Travel Bookshop has now become a must see destination for movie fans, anglophiles and people who might actually be interested in travel books.
The flat above the bookshop is modest and has been is owned by lady who opened the bookstore. It’s on the market for £899,950, which is about $2 million.
If you’re ever in London, I highly recommend a visit to the Travel Bookshop!

Anglotopia was founded by Jonathan and Jackie Thomas for people who love Britain - whether it's British TV, Culture, History or Travel - we cover it all. Anglotopia was started to get us back to the UK for a trip and it did that in 2009. Now, the goal is for Anglotopia to make our dreams of traveling to the UK whenever we want a reality.
