I love movies and I love British Movies even more. There’s a lot to look forward to in the next few months for Anglohpiles. So much that I thought it a good time to make a list with all the relevant information so Anglphiles out there don’t miss one!

The Duchess
Synopsis: The latest costume drama starring Keira Knightly playing the Duchess of Devonshire. She’s a controversial historicial figure that was reviled for her extravagent behavior and policitical activies during the 18th century. Lush set peices and fine pedigreed acting are sure to make a fun movie.

Slumdog Millionaire
Synopsis: The story of how impoverished Indian teen Jamal Malik (Patel) became a contestant on the Hindi version of “Who Wants to be A Millionaire?” — an endeavor made without prize money in mind, rather, an effort to prove his love for his friend Latika (Pinto), who is an ardent fan of the show. Directed by Danny Boyle who brought us hits like Trainspotting and 28 Days Later.

Synopsis: Not really directly an Anglophile movie. But this new Jim Carrey comedy, where he has to say yes to everything, was originally a British book by Daniel Wallace.

Is There Anybody There?
