The Queen will be addressing the United Nations this summer – which is strange since she’s not really one to make grand speeches like this and General Assembly speeches are generally reserved for executive heads of state.
The BBC Reports:
She will make her speech on 6 July, following a royal tour of Canada accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh.
The Queen will begin her visit to Canada on 28 June and she will return to London immediately after her address to the UN.
The last time the monarch addressed the UN General Assembly was in 1957.
I’m very interested to hear what she has to say!

Anglotopia was founded by Jonathan and Jackie Thomas for people who love Britain - whether it's British TV, Culture, History or Travel - we cover it all. Anglotopia was started to get us back to the UK for a trip and it did that in 2009. Now, the goal is for Anglotopia to make our dream of living in the UK a reality.
