Last Thursday morning, T-mobile sent a cast of roughly 100 people dressed as regular commuters to Liverpool Street Station. Around 11am music started to blast from the speakers and the dancin began!
It appears that many of the actual commuters took part in the choreographed dance, making thi very unique ad. This ad is part of T-mobile’s “Life’s for Sharing” campaign and premiered durin “Celebrity Big Brother” on Channel 4.
From what I’ve read, this took 8 weeks of planning, including 10,000 auditions. 10 hidden cameras around the station caught 400 people dancing away. I haven’t seen any negative thoughts about this ad, but I am curious what does dancing in a train station have to do wit phones?
Needless to say, it is a neat idea. Can you imagine coming upon this!? Check it out below. The music isn’t bad either!

Anglotopia was founded by Jonathan and Jackie Thomas for people who love Britain - whether it's British TV, Culture, History or Travel - we cover it all. Anglotopia was started to get us back to the UK for a trip and it did that in 2009. Now, the goal is for Anglotopia to make our dreams of traveling to the UK whenever we want a reality.
How cool. I’m a big fan of the flash mob concept and T-mobile has used it very well with viral marketing (I work in similar field, utilizing social media for things like this).
I don’t know why but Londoners seem to particularly love flash mobs. They never really caught on here in the US.
I would have loved to have been there.
