British airways has launched a Winter/Spring 2012 airfare sale that presents some great deals on Airfares to Britain for the first half of 2012.

One interesting thing they’re doing with this sale is how they’re presenting their prices – their prices now INCLUDE taxes and fees. No misleading teaser airfares – what you see it what you pay. This is an excellent development for the travel industry and I hope more airlines take note.

British Airways is starting the holiday season with an extra gift – two nights free hotel stay.

For those looking for a special gift or for an exciting way to ring in the New Year, British Airways is offering travelers two free hotel nights at a selection of three and four star hotels when purchasing roundtrip airfares between the US and London or selected cities in Europe.

Customers can choose from eight hotels in central London including Hotel K+K George and Hilton London Docklands.

The two free hotel nights are also included for customers booking flights to Edinburgh, Manchester, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, Budapest, Prague and Amsterdam.

Anglophile Alert: British Airways Launches Sale from the USA is a post from: Anglotopia.net

Sleeperz Hotels is planning to open a hotel in Newcastle in December. This will be the company’s second UK hotel.

The 98-bedroom, six-storey hotel will be on the site of a former parcel works and is near Newcastle’s Central rail station. It will, it is claimed, be the city’s first design-led budget hotel.

David Myers, chief executive of Sleeperz Hotels, says: ‘Newcastle is not just the capital of north-east England; it’s a thriving visitor destination and a great city for business and conferences. We are bringing something new and different to Newcastle and the north-east. A stay at Sleeperz offers a stylish urban living experience in a city centre hotel environment at affordable prices.’

The company plans to open Sleeperz hotels in Liverpool, Manchester and London, all close to mainline railway stations. Sleeperz in the Welsh capital Cardiff opened in November 2008. Rooms in the Newcastle Sleeperz will cost from £60 a night.

Our friends at British Airways have launched a new sale as part of their new ad campaign and they’re offering $75 off economy bookings and $150 off premium economy.

Did you know that Air New Zealand flies to London from Los Angeles Airport (LAX)? I didn’t either but they run a daily service from LAX to London Heathrow and to promote the route – they’re offering a flash sale.

I keyed in some sample trips to get a total price – they’re advertising fares as low as $586 but that doesn’t include taxes. I was able to find a flight for $807 dollars including taxes – which is a GREAT Deal to London from California.

The deal is for travel between November 8th and December 12th – a great time to travel to London (we’ve been there during that time period – weather is lovely).

So, if yo’re in Los Angeles or relatively near – this is a GREAT deal. You have to move quickly – the sale ends September 30th.

Our friends at British Airways have released details on their latest fall sale which includes discounts on flights to Europe from the USA and also 2 nights free in a hotel.

Here are the details withs sample fares:

World Traveller economy roundtrip airfares begin at $552 between New York (JFK or Newark) and London.  Comparable airfares are available from all 20 British Airways’ US cities to European destinations such as London, Rome, Barcelona, Paris, Madrid, Prague and Amsterdam.  The offer also includes two free hotel nights at select three and four star hotels when purchasing roundtrip airfares between the US and London and select cities in Europe.
