Lorry Pushes Car Down the A1 and Doesn’t Notice
This video has to be seen to be believed. An 18 wheeler failed to notice that it was pushing a hatchback down the A1 in Yorkshire at 60 MPH.
Eventually the truck did notice. Thankfully no one was injured.

While not very British related – it’s from a British show, so it counts for that. This is a video tour from BBC Dreamspaces of a couple former missile bunkers in the USA that have been repurposed for rather interesting things.
If you can ignore the un-enthusiastic host – it’s pretty cool.

This was forwarded to me by a dear friend who happens to own a cottage on Gold Hill. It’s the most adorable video made by the students of the Abbey Primary School, which is located at the bottom of Gold Hill.
Hopefully, one day, our kids will get to go there!
Prince Harry Does His Part for Haiti Too

It seems that everyone is doing their part to help Haiti recover. Haiti was destroyed last month in a catastrophic earthquake that leveled the entire country. The entire world has banded together to help the destroyed island, from star studded telethons, to celebrities flying their own planes into the collapsed country, everyone is doing their part to help rebuild Haiti.
Prince Harry is helping raise money for Haiti too. According to the BBC, Prince Harry was in Barbados to raise money by taking part in a charity polo match, for children in Africa. The Prince then went on to preform at a Haitian relief benefit, to raise money for the recovery of that nation. He danced on stage, with what guest described as some pretty good dance moves. The Prince managed to raise $2,500 for his little calypso. Way to Go Prince Harry!
Anglophile Reviews: Discover Warwickshire DVD Review – Awesome English Documentary – Shakespeare Country

A few weeks ago I posted a movie trailer for a documentary about Warwickshire called Discover Warwickshire. After the post, Simon Cox the director of the documentary, e-mailed me and offered to send us a review copy.
So, this past weekend we cuddled up on the couch on a quiet Saturday morning and enjoyed some breakfast while we watched this fantastic DVD.
Discover Warwickshire is a 90 minute documentary that’s a video tour of all the majors sites, sounds and people of Warwickshire – also known as Shakespeare Country – the county that’s pretty much at the heart of England.
The movie was filmed over the previous year and you can tell that it was filmed with love for Warwickshire. There is more beautiful vistas of rolling English countryside than you can shake a stick at. The narrator takes you on a tour through the county, showing you all the major sites, giving a tour of the major cities, giving insightful historical commentary while giving good ideas on things do to.
Every county in England needs a video like this!
I was very sad when it was over. I wanted the documentary to continue into the next county. I pride myself in knowing quite a bit about England – but I had no idea of all the things there were to see and do in Warwickshire. So it will definitely be on our destination list the next time we’re in Blighty.
The DVD is available directly from the film’s director on his website. It only costs £10.99 plus shipping. The DVD is region free so it can be played in American DVD players and the quality is fantastic.

Here’s another clip that the director put together just for Anglotopia readers to give you a taste of what to expect on the DVD:
