Editor’s Note: England got it’s first major snowstorm this year overnight. Some kind folks have sent us their images to show you the snow around England and we’ve also put in some images from the Daily Mail. Stay safe everyone and I hope you get a white Christmas!

Anglotopia was founded by Jonathan and Jackie Thomas for people who love Britain - whether it's British TV, Culture, History or Travel - we cover it all. Anglotopia was started to get us back to the UK for a trip and it did that in 2009. Now, the goal is for Anglotopia to make our dreams of traveling to the UK whenever we want a reality.
I was just further inland over at my mother in law’s house (where my car died and I had to call the AA for a jump) and it was unbelievable how much more snow and ice they have over there. All of the salt in the air down at the seaside here means a lot less snow and ice. It started snowing again, there is a nice blanket out there at the moment.
As an American who came over to London from Boston, it’s always kinda funny at the reactions of people about a small bit of snow…but now having been here for five years and only experienced snow that stayed on the ground twice, I kinda get it. I took my rescue dog out the night of the storm…he had a blast: http://doodledaze.co.uk. There was definitely a spring in the steps of most people as it was so gorgeous out near me…but central London had very little snow (about 5 miles away).
