Royal Family Gossip: Is Prince William Going Bald?

The Daily Mail ‘broke’ the story yesterday – photographic proof that Prince William is starting to go bald. It certainly runs in the family.

I don’t know – you be the judge: is he going bald? Does it matter?

No, I guess it doesn’t really matter but he definitely doesn’t have that boyish charm anymore.

  2. Mandy says:

It seems he is thinning a bit!! Ah well… that’s why God invented Bowler hats. ;-)

  3. paul says:

Yes, William along with millions of others of us poor men.

Anyone who is just plain lucky enough to not have this problem can be sure that men of any age absolutely HATE losing their hair. It is certainly an unfortunate trick of nature. Men manage to reproduce anyway much of the time so nature does not weed out this shortcoming. No one will argue (seriously) that hair is not better than lack of hair.

The fact that a person no less than the Prince of Wales cannot do much about it shows what an intractable problem it is. It will takes geneticists decades to puzzle out all the intricacies of the matter.

Well, god bless you your highness. We feel your pain. I am just sorry your mother is not around to even out the bumps in your life.

  4. max grady says:

well it seems that at this stage there is nothing much that can be done (even for a prince) to prevent or let alone slow down the thinning of hair leading to baldness of the crown area. by the looks of it, it seems to effect the crown area and not the sides and back.

well a person cannot be judged by his locks and would like to say that 1 in 3 men will suffer from male pattern baldness under the age of 35. so the prince needs to not worry or get disheartened and just keep doing the good charity work he does and make humanity proud of him, just as princess Diana did ;)

  5. Young gun says:

I really feel for William; he is such a nice bloke. Maybe if he was more of a tosser he might have kept his hair; just seems the way of the world that worst fate befalls the nicest of people. Anyway, I hope he finds a way around it. Nevertheless, he seems such a well-rounded guy that it probably won’t even bother him. I just laugh at the so called advances. With all the brain power we have we still haven;t begun to solve the enigma that is male pattern baldness. When are we going to realise that for young men, this is a horrible, horrible affliction. And good luck to the Daily Mail for pointing out to us Prince William’s hair problems. I’m glad you are making good progress in highlighting the superficial banality that you presume we all love and adore.
