I’ve had the same poll on this site since it started, so it’s definitely time for a new one.
The new poll is: What’s Your Favorite British Comedy?
Your Choices Are:
- Fawtly Towers
- Absolutely Fabulous
- Yes, Minister
- Blackadder
- Vicar of Dibley
- Keeping up Appearances
- The Office
The results to the old poll: Your Favorite Country in the UK break down like this:
- England – 36 Votes
- Scotland – 8 Votes
- Wales – 7 Votes
- Northern Ireland 4 Votes
As you can see, England wins by a wide margin. The rest of the UK just can’t get as much love. Oh well.
Don’t forget to vote, I’m going to start a new poll every month.

Anglotopia was founded by Jonathan and Jackie Thomas for people who love Britain - whether it's British TV, Culture, History or Travel - we cover it all. Anglotopia was started to get us back to the UK for a trip and it did that in 2009. Now, the goal is for Anglotopia to make our dreams of traveling to the UK whenever we want a reality.
Uh-oh, there’s a three way tie right now. Really hard to make a choice on that one. It was between The Office and The Vicar of Dibley for me, but I love BlackAdder too. I’m afraid my favourite plonker David Brent wins out on this one. Just like BlackAdder, that comedy was ground-breaking.
The Office and Vicar of Dibley for me, too, although as a tru Ricky Gervais fan Extras was great. And who could not love the hijinx of Hyacinth Buckrt!!
