We’ve been on the fence about doing a calendar again this year. It’s an important fundraiser for us – it can cover our hosting costs for the year – but last year we ended up with 150 extra calendars that are still sitting in our basement warehouse. We misjudged demand terribly and that costs a lot.
But several people have written us wondering where the 2021 calendar is and after getting some quotes and doing some math, we’ve figured out a way to reduce the risk and still make it worth doing.
So, from today we’re launching pre-orders of the 2021 Anglotopia Calendar. We’re only getting 250 produced, they cost $24.99. If you want to make sure you can get one, we urge you to order as soon as possible. Makes a great gift for the Anglophile in your life!
The calendar features:
- 12×12 large square format
- 13 months – Jan 2021 to Jan 2022
- US Holidays
- UK Holidays
- Beautiful, easy to read design (bigger font this year!)
We’ve gone through our pictures from our last trip to Britain in 2018, and picked 13 beautiful pictures we haven’t used before featuring pretty pictures from Cornwall to the tip of Scotland.
List of places featured in the 2021 Calendar:
- Ackergill Castle, Scotland
- York Minster, York
- Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire
- Loch Ness, Scotland
- Cadgwith, Cornwall
- The Shambles, York
- Dunrobin Castle, Scotland
- Barter Books, Northumbria
- Port Isaac, Cornwall
- Fountains Abbey, York
- Castle of Mey, Scotland
- Gold Hill, Dorset
- Red Phone Box, Cornwall
They will ship in a few weeks, once we sell enough to pay for the printing, we’ll place the order and it won’t take long to get them. They should ship around the end of October, so plenty of time for Christmas and for 2021.
All proceeds after printing will go directly into the running of Anglotopia, hosting, email management, paying writers, etc. It all keeps this website going.
